Varsity’s Horns Are Sawed Off!!!

Did any of you see the game? It was unbelievable!! The Aggies actually beat the Horns… in Austin, no less! Here are some of the interesting facts about the game:

It was the Longhorns first conference loss at home since 1999
The win broke a 6-year streak of losing to the Longhorns
The 11th-ranked Horns are the highest-ranked team A&M has beat in the Coach Fran era
The Longhorns entered the game as the best rushing defence (fewest rushing yards allowed) at 40 ypg; A&M rushed for 244 yards, 91 of those on the first possession
The Longhorns entered the game as the 3rd ranked scoring offence at 39 ppg; A&M held them to 7 points… on their home turf!

This is easily the biggest win for the Aggies since Coach Fran took over in 2003. Needless to say, I’m a little excited. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come!
